Questions people ask.

Does it work if it’s just me?

Yes. Lay a sufra for yourself and save a seat for later. Your plates, your goal and the dallah work the same with one person as with ten.

Is it an app?

It runs in your phone’s browser, so there’s nothing to download. Add it to your Home Screen and it opens full screen like any app, on iPhone or Android.

How does it count?

From a photo of your plate or a sentence about it. It shows what it counted and what it assumed, and says what it couldn’t see. Correct it in your own words and the number follows, or set the number yourself.

How accurate is it?

About as good as a careful guess from someone looking at your plate. Portions are the hard part, which is why it tells you what it assumed. A sentence back, like “only half the bread”, brings it noticeably closer.

Who can see what I eat?

Only the people at the sufras you sit at. There’s no public profile, nothing to follow, and nothing shared outside your sufras.

Who sees my weight?

Nobody, unless you choose. Your sufras see your plates, your face and how your day is going against your own goal, never your calories. You can choose to show how your weight changes, in kilos, and where your BMI sits on its band, never the numbers themselves.

What does it cost?

Joining a sufra is free, and everyone brings 10 meals on us when they first sit down. After that, a sufra buys meals in packs that everyone at it shares: $5 for 300 or $10 for 700. A meal is one photo or one description, and telling the dallah more about a meal is free. One payment, nothing renews.

Does it understand Arabic dishes?

Yes. It names Gulf, Levantine and North African dishes the way you would: kabsa, machboos, mansaf, harees, fattoush. The app itself is in English.

Can I take something back?

Always. Delete any meal or move it to another day. Leave a sufra and your meals stop showing there.
